LED Reverse Light Bulbs Selection Guide

Series Recommendation

This LED reversing light bulb features a top-mounted cooling fan for superior heat dissipation, ensuring a clearer view when reversing your vehicle, and an extended LED bulb lifespan.

102 high power 4014 SMD chips are arranged in 360°around the bulb in an orderly manner, the SMD components are selected to be more resistant to vibration and impact, which is a better choice for off-road vehicle reversing light upgrade. And the lens on the top makes the light more focused and penetrating.

The LED bulbs of the 2US6T series are designed to be more compact in size than their halogen counterparts, making them easy to install in assemblies where space is at a premium. The compact, double-sided LED chips emit a more uniform beam of light similar to halogen bulbs.

AUXITO's hottest option - The 54H series with the compact lens on the top can achieve a good spotlight effect, and reduce light scattering, while the 360° illumination design greatly enhances the visibility of Reverses.

The CSP series of bulbs are the brightest of the reversing light options, so if you have a T15 reversing light bulb model and are looking for maximum brightness, then the CSP range will fit the bill perfectly. However, it should be noted that they have a large fan at the rear, so you need to make sure you have enough space to install them before purchasing.

Shopping Info LED Back Up Light/Reverse Light

Can you use LED lights for reverse lights?

Yes. LED reverse lights are one of the most popular upgrades for the rear of an aftermarket vehicle as they simultaneously improve the rear lighting output and increase the appearance of the vehicle.

Is a back up light the same as a reverse light?

Reverse lights are also called backup lights. They are used to warn other vehicles and people around the car that the vehicle is about to move backward. The reverse lights also provide some illumination when the car is backing up.

What color are backup reverse lights?

White. It is generally white to differentiate it from red tail lights. It illuminates whenever a vehicle is about to move backward.

Should a car have 2 reverse lights?

Not all cars have two reversing lights. It might be mandated in some territories but it definitely isn't required in the EU, UK, Japan, or USA. A car must have at least one reverse light, the lights must illuminate when a car is in the "Reverse" gear, the lights must burn steadily and the lights can never come on while the car is moving forward. Having 2 lights gives you redundancy should one bulb fail, making the signal more obvious. Symmetry looks better and makes regionalization easier.

Do LED reverse lights need a resistor?

Whether an LED light requires a resistor depends on your car model and LED light. If your LED reflector light flashes or jitters rapidly, you may need a resistor. Load resistors can help prevent this issue. If you purchase a light bulb with a built-in decoder, no additional decoder is required.

(If you need to purchase additional decoders to prevent your new LED reversing lights from flickering, check out: Canbus Decoders/Resistor)

Why aren't my reverse lights working?

1. Check the light bulb: If the reversing light does not work, it may be that the light bulb is burned out. In this case, a new reversing light bulb needs to be replaced.

2. Check the fuse related to the reversing light: a broken fuse will also cause the bulb to not work properly.

3. Check whether the switch is properly connected: a loose or damaged switch may cause the bulb to go out.

4. Check the reversing light sensor: Vehicles equipped with reversing light sensors may malfunction, affecting the operation of the reversing lights. It needs to be repaired and replaced in time.

5. Check the wiring connecting the reversing lights: The connectors and wires connected to the backup lights may be damaged and aged and must be repaired in time to avoid affecting daily travel.

Suppose the above methods cannot solve your back-up light bulb operation problem. In that case, it is recommended to consult a professional car repairman to conduct a fault inspection to find out the specific cause of the problem and repair it.
