Initial Impressions - AUXITO Off-Road Light

I have been relying on AUXITO LEDs for all my lighting needs on my rig, both for the exterior and interior lighting. The quality of their products is truly top-notch, and I haven’t encountered any issues with their performance so far. Ever since I got my 4Runner back in 2020, I have been exploring offroad trails and thoroughly enjoying every moment of it.

During night trails, AUXITO LEDs have been an absolute lifesaver. Their headlights and fog lights provide excellent illumination, allowing me to navigate through challenging terrains with ease and confidence. The brightness of their taillights ensures that I’m visible to others, enhancing safety during our offroad excursions.

Out of the box, I can’t help but notice how perfectly the Round Off-Road Lights fits the offroad vibe. The build is solid and sturdy, crafted from high-quality materials that give it a durable and rugged appearance. You can tell that it’s built to handle whatever harsh environments you might throw its way. It has a substantial weight to it, which gives you the confidence that it can take on the challenges of offroading with ease.

Measuring 7 inches in height and 3 inches in thickness, this off-road light is no joke when it comes to illumination. With such dimensions, there’s no doubt in my mind that it can light up even the darkest of trails.

The harness that it comes with has everything you need, including a switch, relay, fuse, and a battery connector. If you’re new to installing auxiliary lights or don’t have a switch panel already set up in your vehicle, I’d highly recommend using the harness provided. It takes the guesswork out of the installation process and ensures that everything is properly connected and protected.
(Tips: It is worth noting that the product has two connection option kits, one is with Two Short DT Connectors, the other is Long 2-in-1 DT Connector Wiring Harness, you can choose different kits according to your vehicle.)

When I first laid eyes on the lens, I couldn’t help but fall in love with the DRL amber feature. It seems like the two inner rows, right next to the DRLs, are likely the spot lens, designed to deliver focused and powerful beams. On the other hand, the two outer rows appear to be the flood lens, which I’m guessing will provide a wider and more dispersed illumination. With this combination of spot and flood lenses, I’m confident this light is going to offer the best of both worlds, making it perfect for various offroad scenarios.

Installation

• Finding a mounting location

The hardest part of the installation in my case is figuring out where to mount it. Finding a mounting location would definitely be easier if you have an aftermarket bumper or a bumper that protrudes forward that would provide a flat 180 degree surface. On the other hand, I have a 2013 Toyota 4runner. We OG (pre-face lift) 5th gen 4runners don’t really have a good mounting location for a 7-inch light without any modifications.

 

• Attach an “L” bracket

For the installation process, thanks to my good friend Shern (@gxorealest) – seriously, go check out his awesome GX build, you won’t be disappointed!). Having his expertise made all the difference! If your car does not have a front bumper that can smoothly install off-road lights, then you can refer to our modifications on Toyota 4Runner! Together, we decided to attach an L bracket to my crash bar, right behind the bottom grill, and voila! The perfect mounting spot for these LED off-road lights.

• Connect Off-Road Lights to switch panel

We decided to connect them to my switch panel and let me tell you, it was a genius move! Wiring turned out to be a piece of cake. If you’re planning to install auxiliary lights in your ride, get yourself a switch panel. It will save you loads of time and hassle during the installation.

• On-Road

The anticipation was palpable as we prepared to put these lights to the test. And boy, when we finally turned them on, it was like being struck by a burst of pure brilliance! The amount of light these led off-road light emitted was simply astounding – the darkness didn’t stand a chance against their power.

• Off-Road Driving Light

The spot and flood beams, working together in perfect harmony, create an ultimate tag team of off-road lights. The spot beam focuses on illuminating the farthest areas, leaving no detail unnoticed. On the other hand, the flood beam steps in, casting a gentle glow between my ride and the fog light beam, ensuring that every nook and cranny is well-lit.
