Review of AUXITO 7-Inch Round LED Off-Road Lights for Jeep Wrangler

When it comes to off-road driving outdoors, additional off-road driving lights are not just an accessory, they are a necessity. Just like the seat belts, limiting straps belt, and emergency equipment on off-road vehicles, they are equally important. Off-road roads are rugged and narrow, and ordinary headlights cannot illuminate the ravines. In addition to installing off-road driving lights, you may also need to equip fog lights, pod lights, off-road light bars, chassis lights, etc.
This article shows you the successful installation case of AUXITO's newest off-road lighting - 7-inch off-road driving light! Find out if they are the best off-road partners for Jeep. 🧐🧐

We choose to install the lights on the Jeep Wrangler as the look of these lights on the Wrangler just makes sense. The install was easy, and we even have a video on the YouTube channel: @The_Rugaru to help those who may have questions. The LED Lights are a great upgrade, providing us optimal light as we keep the Wrangler lit on those long dark nights in Paradise Valley winter.
7-Inch Off-Road Driving Light Installation
Installation is the part people usually dread the most but do not worry about. This install or replacement is about as easy as it gets. Something that you might want a little experience or know-how before attempting. As we will use some tools, we will solder, and we are working with electricity. So, we always keep safety in mind when working on the vehicle.
Step 1 Prioritize Safety - Disconnecting the Power
The first thing you should do is disconnect the battery for safety.
Step 2 Finding the Perfect Spot for Your Lights
Locate a place you want to install your lights. If we choose to install on the bumper, they’d block my winch. So, we chose the ditch pod mounts that were already on the Jeep Wrangler. And we make sure that these 7-inch LED off-road lights don’t bother my vision when driving. For you guys, other places you may have chosen could have been the front bumper or roof rack.
📜(Note: Off-road lights on the market vary in size and function and need to be installed in the appropriate location according to the road laws and regulations of each region.)

Step 3 Sturdy Support - Mounting the Lights Securely
Using the bolts provided by AUXITO LED Off-Road Lights package mount the brackets to the lights and the brackets to the mounts on the vehicle. On the Jeep Wrangler, we took the bolt and mounted the light to the bracket provided by the Off-Road Light Screw Accessories. Then tightening it to the point where it is no longer loose but still easily moveable. Then we took the other bolt provided by the package and used it to bolt the bracket to our already established mount on the Jeep Wrangler.
Step 4 Ensuring Reliable Connections
🎁Package include:
LED Off-Road Light*2 (Include Screw Accessories)
DT connector*2 (Option1) OR 2-in-1 DT Connector Wiring Harness*1 (Option2)
(Note: Two Short DT Connectors need to cut the wires and connect them to the electrical system on the vehicle. If you want to save time, there is an optional Long 2-in-1 DT Connector Wiring Harness Kit.)

We started by measuring how long we need for our wires to meet up with the worse’s included with lights. We laid wires from the switch through the firewall to the engine bay. From the blinkers to the battery. Black is connected to black, red is connected to red. While pairing the orange blinkers to the round off-road lights we used the yellow wire from the lights to tap into the blinkers. Once we identified how long the wires need to be and double-checked where they needed to be. (ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK) We then decided to connect them by using a soldering tool to make certain they hold.
Step 5 Testing the Lights

After we soldered each wire together we made sure to test the lights to make sure they worked. (Make sure to connect and turn the battery back on before the first test) And to our luck, they tested positive and worked amazing the first time.
Step 6 Tidying Up
We continued to clean up the mess we made from the project and triple-checked our work making sure the wires went in places we found desirable. Making sure that both lights are installed in the correct way.
Installation VideoOver all this was a really easy install for me as I already had the mounts for the lights and wires from the previous off-road lights we upgraded from. For most others or those attempting this for the first time, installing the base and wiring might be the hardest part. Always make sure to have plenty of resources and help when you are working on anything related to the electrical components of the car. It pretty much connected the colors from there in order to get everything in a good-to-go position.
This took us just about under an hour but I would recommend setting 3-4 aside if you are doing complete wiring as passing wires through the firewall of the car can take a lot of time. Connecting wires takes patience and time as you want to make sure you are doing it right while leaving no room for mistakes. One time on a different vehicle we didn’t connect the correct wires and almost started a fire.
Making the Most of AUXITO Off-Road Lights

The 7-inch Round LED Off-Road Lights from AUXITO offer 3 main features - Spotlight, Floodlight, and DRL settings. If you choose to buy a kit with a Long 2-in-1 DT Connector Wiring Harness Kit, you can easily switch between these settings to best serve your needs.
The Yellow wire on the lights is for the Amber lights and it can be wired into both your driver lights and your blinkers. We choose to wire the Amber lights into our blinkers that can be used as a daytime running light to enhancing visibility and safety on the road.
These 7-Inch LED off-road lights also sit in a position aimed at the ditches to help avoid deer and elk as this jeep drives in Paradise Valley, Montana. They help spot dangers ahead in a higher position. This winter they will also help see through fog and help point out ice on the roads as temperatures in this area hit -20 Fahrenheit. Helping us see through those famous Montana Blizzards as we cover high miles every trip.
Final Thoughts
The installation process may seem daunting, particularly the base setup and wiring. However, with patience and proper safety measures, it becomes manageable. These LED off-road driving lights are an exceptional addition, providing unparalleled visibility and safety on your journeys. The spotlight and floodlight features are truly outstanding, and the Amber lights are an excellent addition for signaling while driving.

Q: What off-road lights do I need?
A: There are all kinds of off-road lights on the market with different light modes, brightness, colors, and sizes. From conquering rocky trails in the woods to surfing up and down the dunes, it’s important to choose the right off-road light for your car and purpose. Something else to consider before buying off-road lights: What type of car do you own? Is there enough lighting? Do you need additional pod lights? Does the car have room for off-road lights?
A suitable beam pattern is the best assistant for off-road activities. The spot beam has a clear focusing lens, making it ideal for traveling at high speeds in open terrain. However, for twisty trails, you may find that floodlights are the best option. Floodlights have grooved lenses that disperse light over a wider area without shining too far. These lights are often used as work lights and backup lights to allow a wider area to be seen over a shorter distance.
Q: What type of beam pattern does this AUXITO 7-inch off-road driving light have?
A: AUXITO classifies the beam pattern of this light as a hybrid beam pattern. The unique Combo Beam angle combines flood and spot beams with an amber DRL, offering unparalleled width visibility and extended lighting distance for navigating challenging terrains. This beam pattern provides the optimal balance of distance and width – essential when traveling through remote areas with active wildlife at night.
Q: What color and how many lumens are the best off-road lights to choose?
A: For high-speed open desert driving, clear and intense lights are your best choice. If you are driving in harsh conditions such as dust, snow or fog, it is recommended to run amber lights with dimming or high/low functionality. Ideally, off-road drivers should choose a light that provides 2,000 to 4,000 lumens.
