Why do you need LED turn signal bulbs with a built-in resistor function?

When you want to upgrade your car's turn signals from yellowed, dim halogen bulbs to brighter regular LED turn signal light bulbs, you may notice that they are blinking much faster than your previous light bulbs. And that low voltage LED turn signals will trip the onboard vehicle computer system (CANBUS) and cause error lights to pop up on your gauge cluster display. You can choose to add an external resistor or relay, but you need to consider the installation and placement of the decoders, which can make things tricky.

  2. These 7440 LED bulbs (not 7443 bulbs) are used as turn signal lights ONLY. (They are single-function, and could not be used as day running light or parking light)

  3. These LED bulbs are just replaced for 7440, T20, 7440NA, 7441, W21W, WY21W, and 992 Bulbs.

Great product

Chose the compatible bulbs listed as 2800 lumens. LEDs were installed without complication and they are still more than BRIGHT. I’m glad I went with the lights that are not as bright because I am sure I might be getting some complaints related to their brightness. The only thing I’ve noticed so far is that the bulbs will hyperflash for a second when my car engine turns back on after sitting at a light with the turn signal on and the auto stop feature engaged. Other than that, no issues from these bulbs and they definitely look good!
