What is the difference between LED switchback turn signals and halogen turn signals?

These switchback LED turn signal lights operate in two different modes depending on their usage:

Parking Lights or Daytime Running Lights (DRL): In this mode, the bulbs emit a bright 6000K xenon white light, providing enhanced visibility during regular driving conditions.

Turn Signals: When used as turn signals, the LED switchback bulbs function differently. They alternate between emitting "Amber/Off/Amber/Off..." light, creating a distinctive and attention-grabbing amber signal for indicating turns.

Why does the switchback LED turn signal bulb only light up amber and not white in my vehicle?

If your LED switchback bulb only lights up in amber and not white in your vehicle, the reason may be that your vehicle's turn signal bulb only has a single filament designed for turn signal functionality and does not support dual-functionality, including white parking lights/DRLs. To address this issue, you should consult your vehicle's owner's manual or check your stock turn signals to verify whether your turn signal bulbs are intended for dual functionality.

Are LED switchbackturn signals plug and play or do I need to install something else?

Yes, they are plug and play only. However, it should be noted that flickering problems may occur when upgrading from halogen to LED bulbs on sensitive models. They may also trigger a "bulb out" warning if the vehicle is equipped with a bulb monitoring system. This problem can be solved by installing a resistor, or you can choose the 4KP10 series of LED switchback turn signal bulbs, which come with a load resistor and built in IC Driver, for better compatibility with CANbus system vehicles than regular LED switchback turn signals.

When will the white light come on for the switchback LED turn signal bulb? Will the white light stay on when the headlights are on?

Our bulbs will follow the factory light design, that is the white light function will function the same as when the factory turn signal halogen bulbs are operating. I just purchased 2 switchback LED turn signal bulbs for my truck, and am having a flicker problem on one of the sides. But do I need to install a resistor on each side, or just the flickering side?

NO. This bulb is generally used when there are turn signals and parking lights/DRLs in one unit. While rear turn signals are generally single filament and generally only have a turn function.
